Coco Beach Club at Perfect Day at Coco Cay
Perfect Day at Coco Cay is Royal Caribbean's private island destination. It started as Little Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas and was acquired by Royal Caribbean in 1988. Extensive renovations started in 2019 which became the marvelous destination we see today. There are so many different places to visit on Coco Cay from the endless beaches to the thrilling water park. Today we visit the upscale Coco Beach Club, where you can enjoy a relaxing, luxurious stay on the beach. The service is top notch, the views are stunning and the food is above and beyond!
Once arriving at the island, you travel down the colorful pier to the main entrance of Coco Cay. You will be greeted by local musicians and dancers to add to the ambiance of this fabulous Bahamian location. To your right you will come to the tram station and be directed to the tram that takes you directly to the Coco Beach Club entrance at your first stop.
Once you enter, you are welcomed by friendly staff, often with a refreshing drink, that will help you get settled amongst the tropical setting. Don't forget to make your lunch reservation as soon as you arrive to get the time you desire!
You have many options under shady palm trees, umbrellas or along the beach to get your sun. The cove is quiet with soft waves and great views. If the beach is not your vibe, settle in next to the wonderful pool. The infinity pool has in-water seats, soft daybeds and chairs and tables to relax by the heated water. The beach is covered with plentiful lounge chairs with special Club towels ready to use.
Once you have claimed your spot for the day, staff will serve you the ever-needed frozen drinks. You also have access to floats and life jackets to take for free out into the warm waters. If you like to snorkel, the lagoon is a great area to float and see the sights.
If you are looking for an even more exclusive luxury experience, you will want to invest in one of the many cabanas located at Coco Beach Club. Some are located along the lush greenery with intimate pathways through the beautiful tropical scenery. These then open up to view the ocean with private chairs, tables, a hammock and small fridge.
Or you can splurge even more and get an over water cabana complete with slide and on the water floating bed. All cabanas come with your own attendant to bring anything you might need and keep the drinks flowing. These are at an additional cost, and should be reserved prior to your cruise for the best prices. They are a good investment if you have a larger group to have the ultimate elevated experience since the rental price includes the entry fee for the club.
If you are starting to get hungry, there is no better lunch on Coco Cay then at the Coco Beach Club. There are many offerings on the menu, but if you are inclined, ask for the "surf and turf" to have your lobster and filet mignon cooked to order! And of course don't forget your dessert! Soaked rum cake or ultimate brownies are sure winners!
Once you have finished your amazing lunch, you may want to grab a book from the cute Island Library, if you don't already have one, and head back to your seat to relax and digest. Or grab another Coco Loco to top off your already amazing day!
Coco Beach Club is a wonderful addition to Perfect Day at Coco Cay. There are many free options on the island that include thrills or just chilling out.
